The word spirituality

What does the word spirituality mean to you? What is the first thing that came to your mind?

Is it linked to meditation and prayers?

Is it automatically linked to religion?  

Does it have a positive or negative connotation?  It’s easy to know this one… how do you react about sharing something spiritual or talking about spirituality with someone? This can help you see why and what is your definition, and where your ego brings you.

We are spiritual beings experiencing physical life. We are Soul in physical body doing things expanding our Soul’s experience and also expanding the Universe with our creations.

And how do we do this? We do this by following our inspirations and inspired actions coming from our Inner Self helping us with whatever we are working on or wishing to experience. We also do this by expressing our gratitude, so this beautiful high energy tells your Inner Self and Higher Consciousness that you loved it and you want some more of this, or you understand why, and you are okay with experiencing to learn and master your life lessons and expansion.

Do you feel it easier to say you are meditating instead of saying you are praying? Is it because there is a religious or negative connotation in your mind related to prayers? It’s okay. It is the same thing. And one simply does not trigger your ego for now, which is often the word meditating because either you understand that meditating is praying but simply not like you might have been taught in churches, or you have some issues and limiting beliefs related to the word prayer and you have not addressed them yet. That’s okay.

Enjoy your spiritual practice without triggering your ego is a great way to allow yourself, but don’t keep yourself from your spiritual practices just because it makes you feel uncomfortable with others. Learn to be comfortable with it and talking about it when you feel like it. The more you will be open about it, the more comfortable you will be, and the less you will be triggered by other people’s spiritual practice.

You are a spiritual being in a physical being making you both. So it is normal that you are attracted to spiritual things. It is about equilibrium.

Gratitude is spiritual. Expressing your inspirations is spiritual. Meditating is spiritual. Letting go of negative emotions and beliefs and thoughts is spiritual. Grounding yourself is spiritual. Did you know what? Or is it for you just a way to feel good and better and more balanced? That equilibrium you are seeking is the one between your spiritual being and your physical being, the one where your Inner Self shines out to better expand, not being present enough in your life.

To help you be more comfortable with your spirituality and even the word spirituality, here are powerful affirmations you can repeat slowly with intention. I invite you to write it down and read it when you wake up before your ego takes over or during a meditation.

“I recognize, accept, and express my spirituality comfortably. I agree to follow my inspirations and my inspired actions.”

This does not trigger the ego. This helps you add beautiful positive data to your subconscious. Your ego is your ally. This is you telling your ego that all is good and all is well. This also tells your ego-based mind that you are going to follow your inspirations and inspired actions.

Accepting your spirituality will not make you become a religious person, unless you want to, it will make you aware that you do not have to be triggered by the word and the practice and other people’s beliefs and practices. This can help you become aware that you do need some sort of spiritual practice of your own to feel balance. This helps well-being: mental well-being and spiritual well-being. And it starts with you accepting to be responsible in your own well-being.

Take the time to be comfortable with your own spirituality, so you can feel comfortable with other’s as well.

Remember to breathe in, let go of your ego-based thoughts and vision, see from your Soul and Love Out.
