What you already have.

It is easy to be grateful for the new things entering our lives. It is easy to be thankful for new things we receive or purchase.

It might be a different story for what is already there, what we already have.

Do you tend to take what is already there for “the past” and for granted?

Do you know how to be grateful for the things around you?

A new perspective and a new approach can help you find why, today, you can be grateful for something you already have. I am not talking about “still” be grateful but being grateful “now” about it.

Could it be because it is useful? Could it be because it is beautiful for the eye and makes you happy when you look at it? Could it be because you cherish the memory that goes with it and is bringing you a smile again today?

Could it be because it reminds you that you desire something else? This is also a reason to be thankful for. The same way, it is possible to be thankful for a not-so-good relationship or partnership, because you move on from those not-so-good situations to improve your life.

You can shift your way to look at the furniture, the television, the books, the food, the mobile, the social media, the tree by the window allowing birds to come near, the family member… at everything around you as you go through your day.  It is true that there is always a reason to be thankful for something.

For everything you see and hear today… and every day, take a second to ask and tell yourself why you could be thankful for it.  And express it, say in your mind or out loud “Thank you for… because…”.  By doing this simple exercise, eventually you will be grateful for every second of your life, no matter what it will bring. Yes, you can learn how to develop a gratitude attitude, and this is a beautiful first step. This can also help you uplift your energy level.

Taking the time to be grateful for what you already have not only open doors to receive more, but it will make you appreciative for the life that you have with all its beauties and troubles. It can also help you mindfully know where your desires are.

Taking the time to be grateful for what you already have is a path towards living an enriched and fulfilled life.

Remember to Breathe in, let go of your ego-based thoughts and vision, see from your Soul and Love Out.
